In past times, the ritual celebration of Male and Female ensured abundance of crops and fertility for all humanity. The community would gather to enter these sacred mysteries and their essential symbolic elements: the union of two opposites creating and growing all life.
In this ritual process, each man and woman became the sacred mystery. This ended in the grand encounter: The sacred Alchemical Marriage, where two people were united to bring out the best of each other.

In modern life, the opportunities of getting together in a large group of people to celebrate the importance of the mystical potential of our ancestors are extremely rare.
In the Tenth African Encounter, we invite you to take part in this ritual conducted by Myrthes Gonzalez and Sergio Cruz, Founders and teachers of this Extension of Biodanza.

A Biodanza MarathonA four or five day Biodanza event is known as a Biodanza marathon. It is designed to give you a deep experience of vivencia รข€“ an experience lived fully. This deepens your ability to reach this state in weekly classes and eventually in life itself. And it can be a life changing transformation all by itself.
We recommend anyone undertaking Biodanza on a regular basis to include a Biodanza Marathon as part of their development in Biodanza on an annual basis.
The Venue We have a super new venue – the Black Mountain Hotel. A hidden gem in the Free State and about four to five hours from Jo’burg!
The Rooms
The Rooms and Space are probably about a four star rating, and there will certainly be no overcrowding - everyone will have lots of space.
